On Wednesday Sept. 25th, Pierluigi Poggiolini presented a paper (W.1.D.3) at ECOC 2019 in Dublin on a real-time fiber non-linearity model  which can evaluate the transmissive performance of an entire optical network in a fraction of a second, with very high accuracy, enabling physical-layer-aware management and control of the network.
